The annual Operation Cherrybend event is held at Cherrybend Pheasant Farm in Wilmington, Ohio. This historic hunting preserve has served as the perfect location for bringing together veterans and civilians to form a network of like-minded people that honor those wounded and fallen.

The Ellis Family hosts this event as this farm and outdoor environment is ideal for those who have served in combat and are avid outdoorsman. It is a relaxed and open atmosphere. There may be combines running and folks taking rides. The small bush plane may be flying off the grass strip and giving rides. And for sure there is plenty of activity for target practice and coyote and pheasant hunts.

But, the best is the fellowship that happens around the campfire. When the guitars come out and the campfire talk starts, that is where real healing beings.

Many thanks to all the community members that work behind the scenes to help make this special event happen.

Currently, a contingent of campers are rented for the event to house the participants. Future plans are in the works to build wheelchair accessible cabins for the event.
